Maj Gen von Coors forced back to River Amstal

General Graf James von Beerstein reviews the campaign in the Barony of Alesgarden. He has ordered the Beerstein Foreign Legion to the Barony of Brewski to guard the River Ales approaches. Sir David Linienblatt inhader of the Beerstein Honourable Pensioners has been promoted to Brigadier General to lead this force. The St. Pauli Pontooniers will accompany the Legion to facilitate crossing the River Ales if necessary. Graf James will lead additional forces into the Barony of Brewswick to defend the River Amstal approaches. He has sent an urgent request for Reich Duke Wilhelm to return as soon as possible. The Beerstein Reichstag has been called to session to deal with this crisis.

I love the unit names (all of brews, of course).

David Linienblatt is honoured by the promotion - and hopes his strategical and tactical abilities will live up to expectation!

[Note to self: Really must get that new uniform sorted out... Too busy designing others' uniforms much of the time!]

Yes, the stirring of the pot has begun.

Sorry I do not have any black uniformed men yet ... the Brunswickers are on the list...just have other higher priorities right now.

Used the "Austrian" flavored uniforms since Beerstein is part of Empress Maria's coalition.

One thing to consider is that Reich Duke is present in the area ... he may want to communicate with the 'unknown' forces to see what they are really all about?

Perhaps keeping the Reich Duke 'out of communication' for a while ~ during this 'special' negotiation?

Great fun!

Murdock. The Reich Duke is far away at the "Affair at Eisenmuhlen" and it will take some time for him to return to Beerstein. As good Austruian allies, our old uniforms were actually white. The battle photos reminded me of the football teams wearing throw back uniforms. What a great job you did. Thanks!!!

A reverse now will make the eventual victory all the sweeter. ;)

But I have been informed that since the Affair at Eisenmuhlen has ended in a stalemate, the Reich Duke has left the area enroute to Beerstein since the action is heating up there.
