Brigadier, Sir David Linienblatt's Campaign in the Barony of Alesgarden (Part 1)

After crossing the River Ales, Brigadier Sir David Linienblatt, marched to the Capital of Alesgarden. He decided to garrison the city with the Saxe-Bearstein Battalion von Schafbock before continuing on to Anheuser.

Seeing the devastation of the recent battle, Brigadier Sir David Linienblatt decided to help the citizens of Anheuser by garrisoning the city with the St. Pauli Pontooniers and the San Miguel Pioneers.

The pontoon train, engineers, and vivandieres are specifically designed to repair the infrastructure and build defensive positions.

Brigadier Linienblatt has order the City of Anheuser to be fortified in case the army has to fall back to a defensive position. The San Miguel Pioneer were last seen preparing an artillery position for the Lady Louise Light Artillery.

Brigadier, Sir David Linienblatt leads his infantry north from Anheuser into the center of the Barony of Alesgarden in search of the enemy .

Brigadier Linienblatt at the head of this cavalry. He has ordered the Princess Haley Hussars to seek out Baron von Ballpark, the Commander of the Frankszonian Forces. He is believed to be gathering his army near the City of Oldenburg.

Superb looking troops - are the pontoons the ones from HAT?

Thank you. The link from EvE works well . . . with a good "lead-in" photo.

The pontoons are from HAT. They fit nicely despite being designed for a smaller scale and they paint up very easily...

A nice array, and good to see the support services represented on the tabletop.

Sir David has asked me to say what an honour and a pleasure it is to command this splendid force. He is currently somewhat hors de combat with a bad head cold and sinusitis hence my posting for him while he recruits his energies for the campaign ahead.

Your obedient servant,

Johann Gewehr,
Military Secretary to Sir David Linienblatt.

The muster of Ballpark's forces is now listed on my Frankszonia blog.
I'm having Hottatrot dash down from the Gallian forces in the north to take overall command, as Ballpark is best when directly in control of infantry. Also, Hottatrot's own regiment (ironically, fusiliers. Hottatrot began as a hotshot cavalry officer)is part of the "elite" forces under the weighty (300+ pounds) command of Rosenschnauz ...

Should I set up a proxy battle for myself here?? I'm an ally of Beerstein in this. Right??

Frankfurter, Absolutely! Feel free to join in the fun with your own proxy battle...

Okay, you posted this list for Hesse Boozewick ... which I assume will soon be facing David Linneblatt?

Which entity of the Colon Confederation should I splash down?

I've generated some characters to lead the SemiColon farces near Oldenburg. I've posted them on my Frankszonia blog ... could you take a gander at them and see if they're okay, Jeff?

unlike the word verification "onsesper" I'm NOT an "ESPer"
LOL

The Colon Coalition has had very bad luck on my generating generals ... the commander of the approaching farce is apparently mercenary riding on his own hype ...
I wander through my figures trying to find a suitable OBE for him to lose (unless my wife is well enough to play, in which case I tremble for poor Hottatrot) ...
